Little Blue Heron
Scientific Name:
Egretta caerulea
Range:
Texas to New York along East coast; inland as far as Oklahoma
Nesting:
4 or 5 pale blue-green eggs in stick nest. Usually in bushes or small trees, near ground.
Habitat:
Freshwater swamps, lagoons or ponds in South; costal thickets further North.
