As
Americans we all have the opportunity to enjoy our National parks. Most of
us have been lucky enough to visit at least one of these parks and
probably even had some interaction with the park rangers. Many of us, including
myself, even grew up hoping to become a park ranger some day. However,
very few of us realize the dangers faced by rangers while on duty. Unfortunately
several have been killed while protecting our natural resources or
the visitors to these national parks. I hope this page will in some small
way pay tribute to these fallen rangers for the jobs they were doing for
all of us.
The following list is not complete, information is limited. I will
add additional Rangers as that information becomes available to me. If any of the information
is incorrect or if you know of a ranger not listed please e-mail me at
todd@southeasternoutdoors.com.
