As Americans we all have the opportunity to enjoy our National parks. Most of us have been lucky enough to visit at least one of these parks and probably even had some interaction with the park rangers. Many of us, including myself, even grew up hoping to become a park ranger some day. However, very few of us realize the dangers faced by rangers while on duty. Unfortunately several have been killed while protecting our natural resources or the visitors to these national parks. I hope this page will in some small way pay tribute to these fallen rangers for the jobs they were doing for all of us.

• Gregory Burdine - 25, died in an accident while pursuing a vehicle for speeding in the Colonial National Historical Park, Virginia. November 26, 1977
