The following table is a list of states that are known to have carcass import
laws that are generally put in place to help deter the spread of Chronic Wasting
Disease. These regulations typically apply to all cervids (deer, elk, moose)
that are killed in states where CWD has been detected.
The states and provinces where CWD has been detected are: Colorado,
Illinois, Kansas, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, New York, Oklahoma,
South Dakota, Utah, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming, Alberta and Saskatchewan.
Caution: this list is a guideline only, laws change often! It is up to you to know
the transportation laws of each state you pass through with harvested game as
well as the laws of your destination state.
