Michigan Fatal Hunting Accidents

Below are a few of the fatal hunting accidents that have happened in Michigan.

  • 2006 - Jason Rob Ockerman, 28, accidentally shot by hunting partner while unloading his gun. Died in Surgery. 

  • 2006 - Douglas Mitchell Krawczak, 25, was found dead Wednesday at the base of a tree stand

  • 2006 - 59 year old hunter died in the carbon monoxide accident in camp

  • 2006 - Warren Lee Snoeyink, 41, was killed when he fell about 25 feet from a tree.

  • 2004 - Paul D. Crouch, 45, slipped from his tree stand and became entangled in his safety harness

  • 2004 - Michael Steven Aguirre, 27, shot, was not self-inflicted

  • 2004 - Arthur Beard, 45, shot by hunting partner when squirrel hunting

  • 2003 - Police said Ivan Renkiewicz, 43, apparently tripped and shot himself while huting with a handgun

  • Bill Goins, 32, killed in while ascending or descending his treestand
