Native Warm Season Grasses

Native warm season grasses (nwsg) are grasses that are native to an area and can provide excellent wildlife habitat for many species, including bobwhite quail, cottontail rabbit, deer, turkey, and song birds.

Native warm season grasses that can be found in the mid south region include; big bluestem, little blue stem, Indian grass, eastern gamagrass, and switchgrass.
