Our Garden 2011

Annual Edibles

Swiss Chard - Swiss chard is a lettuce like plant that is fairly easy to grow in home gardens. Not only can chard be grown in a garden or raised bed garden like ours, it can also be grown in planters.

Radish -

Green Onions -

Red, white, yellow onions -

Cherry Tomatoes -

Perennial Edibles

Garlic chives - the garlic chives popped up in March and are looking great. Can't wait for the grilling season to add some to the BBQ sauce.

Cherry Tomatoes - typically tomatoes aren't considered perennials however, our cherry tomatoes have re-seeded themselves and come back strong for multiple years

Brown Turkey Figs - This is the second year for our fig bushes and all three seem to b thriving. Last year we actually had one fig which was a little bit of a surprise considering how small the bushes were. This year we have about 10 figs and next year I expect about 30 figs or so.
