Common Name: Apple Snails
Scientific Name:
Range: South America (traditional)
Breeding:
Habitat:
The Apple Snail is native to South America but is know known to have  established populations in at least Florida, Georgia, Texas, California and Hawaii.

Apple snails are a popular aquarium pet and many of the introduced populations are thought to have come from released pets. It i also known that these snails are spread from water body to water body by boaters and fisherman who may inadvertently transport the snails in live well water, minnow buckets, or on aquatic vegetation attached to boats or fishing gear. So it is very important that boaters and fisherman take care to help reduce the spread of this invasive species.
