| We hunted near Vaiden,
about 75 miles North of Jackson. Took this boy on Sat morning after
Thanksgiving November 29, 1999. I was told big bucks could only be
found in the afternoon or evening. Never had one been taken in the
morning on this property. I was the only one to get up at 5 am and
went out into the 28 degree darkness. Caught this boy eating in a
grass plot at first light. I dropped him at 30 yards using a
Weatherby Mark V chambered in 7mm Rem mag, 165 gr partition. He went
187 live weight. |
