  • Samuel S. Taylor - Game Protector Taylor was shot and killed by poachers. April 5, 1914
  • John H. Woodruff - Game Protector Woodruff was killed when he was struck in the head. His remains were not discovered until April, 1921. The case was never solved. November 27, 1919
  • Harvey B. Cruikshank - Game Protector Cruikshank was killed by lightning. June 8, 1926
  • William T. Cramer - Game Protector Cramer was shot and killed in Queens County. September 22, 1929
  • Paul J. De Cuennois - Game Protector De Cuennois drowned. October 16, 1932
  • Clarence J. Webster - Game Protector Webster was killed in an automobile accident. November 16, 1944
  • Benning De La Mater - Game Protector De La Mater drowned while patrolling the Hudson river. June 24, 1961
  • Raymond L. Murray - Forest Ranger Murray was killed in an airplane accident. October 9, 1970
  • William Becker - Conservation Officer Becker was found drowned in Suffolk County. March 11, 1981
