  • Donald L. Teague - Wildlife Officer Arkansas Game and Fish Commission was shot and killed when he interrupted the robbery of a gas station in Pencil Bluff, Arkansas. February 7, 1980
  • Monty Carmikle - Sgt. Carmikle, 45, of Heber Springs was killed when a helicopter he was a passenger in crashed in Cleburne County while patrolling for poachers at night.
