The following table contains harvest totals for whitetail deer hunting in
Missouri. The 2005 fall season marked the first full season of Self Checking
for turkey and deer hunters in Missouri.
During the 2004 fall seasons land owners and turkey hunters had the option of using Self Check.
Big Game checking stations were utilized in Missouri
from 1968 to 2003. All deer and turkey taken during regular hunting seasons had to
be checked in person, except from 1980 to 1985, when mail-in
reporting was allowed.
