Minnesota Fatal Hunting Accidents

Below are some of the fatal hunting accidents that have happened in Minnesota.

  • 2011 - 84 year old male died when his clothing caught fire after lighting a propane heater in his stand.

  • 2011 - 19 year old male died when a member of his hunting party's gun discharged accidentally.

  • 2007 - Michael Wagner, 26, Shooting Accident

  • 2006 - Brandon Mitchell Lanie, 14, shot by another hunter

  • 2006 - 18 year old hunter is died after accidentally shooting himself near Detroit Lakes

  • 2005 - Jeff Ford

  • 2005 - Shelley Denece Burgess, 48, was shot in the hip (and died)  by another person in her hunting party
